Chrysalis Counseling Staff

Lindsey Violet, LSW

Licensed Social Worker

Lindsey Violet, MSW (She/Her/Hers)

Lindsey started her counseling career with Chrysalis in 2021.  Prior to working at Chrysalis, she worked in foster care, geriatrics, and inpatient treatment for severe mental illness.  Lindsey graduated with her Masters in Social Work from Baylor University in 2021, with specialized training in child development and gender studies.  Lindsey also finished her Bachelors in Social Work in 2020 from Indiana Wesleyan University with a specialized focus on the criminal justice system.

Lindsey loves her work at Chrysalis and feels that making the choice to come to counseling and be vulnerable, is one of the bravest a person can make.  Lindsey believes that as a counselor, it is her job to help the client get where they want to go, and trusts her clients as the experts on their own lives.  Success does not look the same for any single person, and Lindsey wants to help clients meet their personal goals and become the best versions of themselves.

Lindsey is a lifelong learner and intends to continue learning new skills and techniques to meet the needs of her clients.  At this time, she most often uses DBT and CBT, or with appropriate age groups, Play Therapy.  Lindsey enjoys working with children of all ages, individuals, families and most recently, couples.  Lindsey is an LGBTQ+ supporting therapist and wants to continue learning how to best support this community.

Lindsey would like clients to know that doing this work and getting to step into people's lives in this way is the biggest honor of her life.  Her goal is to encourage an atmosphere of acceptance, healing, and growth.
